The manufacturer of Wegmans Sorbet recalled a limited number of 16 oz. Wegmans brand Sorbets because they may contain undeclared milk. People who have an allergy to milk run the risk of a serious or possible life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the certain affected Green Apple, Lemon, Pink Grapefruit, or Raspberry products. The products were distributed throughout Wegmans Food Markets located in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, and Maryland. The sorbets were packaged in 16 oz. paperboard containers and sold in the supermarkets' ice cream section. All four sorbet flavors: Lemon, Raspberry, Green Apple, and Pink Grapefruit, are affected by this recall. A review of records discovered that product containing milk was packaged in cartons that were not labeled for the presence of milk.
