Redcat Racing Co., of Phoenix, Ariz. voluntarily recalled about 1,400 Redcat Racing FM Remote Controlled Vehicles because the remote control unit can lose its signal, causing the toy vehicle to lose control, posing a risk of injury to the user or bystanders. The recalled remote controls were included in the remote cars as shown below. These cars were sold in a variety of colors. These products were sold by authorized dealers nationwide from March 2007 through April 2008 for between $260 and $400.
