Rawlings Sporting Goods Co. Inc., of St. Louis, Mo. voluntarily recalled about 2,300 Rawlings Junior Batting Helmets because surface paint on the helmets contains excessive levels of lead, violating the federal lead paint standard. This recall involved junior batting helmets with model number CFHLJR. The helmets c ome in yellow and orange with black accents. The model number can be found on the rear of the helmet. These products were sold at sporting goods retailers nationwide from July 2007 through November 2007 for about $40.
