Little Bay Baking Company of Newmarket, New Hampshire recalled all bags of CORN BREAD AND MUFFIN MIX sold before May 2, 2008 because it contains undeclared soy. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to soy run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these prod ucts. CORN BREAD AND MUFFIN MIX was distributed throughout the United States through retail stores and internet orders. The Corn Bread and Muffin Mix comes in a 12.6 ounce white paper tin tie bag package and was sold under the names Little Bay Baking and GFCFDiet. The recall was initiated after it was discovered that Corn Bread and Muffin Mix containing possible traces of soy was distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of soy. Subsequent investigation indicates the problem was caused by a temporary breakdown in the company's ordering processes.
