A settlement has been reached in a class action about Dell Inspiron Notebook Computers.
This notice has been authorized by the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.
• A settlement offering cash reimbursement for certain repairs to Inspiron Notebook models 1150, 5100, 5150 and 5160 has been proposed in a class action lawsuit.
• The settlement provides partial or complete cash reimbursement for certain “Reimbursable Repairs.”
• Reimbursable Repairs are the following repairs made by Dell Canada Inc. (“Dell”) or one of Dell’s authorized service providers (BancTec and QualxServ):
(a) Those addressing clogged vents and/or restricted airfow, including fan repair and/or replacement;
(b) Heat sink replacements;
(c) AC adapter replacements;
(d) Motherboard replacements addressing power failure, shutdown, failure to boot, and/or freezing situations; and
